Here is a diorama I have been working on since January.  It depicts the 29th Infantry on Omaha Beach- D Day.  The figures are completed, awaiting installation on the base. The base is solid dark walnut.  I will have to add the figures at stages, because the one end of the base will be the edge of the surf and the other slightly drier. 

I want to have a compact scene to portray the action, chaos and the fact that 6 men are trying to hide behind flimsy cover.  One man portrays the inevitable.
