Wet Palette
On Timelines there was some interest in Wet Palettes. I use one, and it is a neat way to keep your color wet and ready to use. It is basically a plastic box with a lid that snaps on. Inside is a thin sponge and a piece of plain white paper.
The paper is like cooking parchment paper. It does not fall apart when wet, or shed fibers. One thing I learned is you can keep the sponge pretty wet. The wetter the better. Once I am done with the colors or they dry just a bit, I toss the paper and put in a new one. Wring out the sponge, soak up some new water and you're ready to go.

Brit Tanker
I received the Young Miniatures Brit Tanker yesterday- so I set about cleaning the casting and priming the bust up. Here is a little SBS on the face- The photos make this look rough. But as I work thru the shadows and highlights, it will all come together.

Cherokee Chief
I finished the Cherokee Bust. Here are the finished pictures. I noticed a couple of small touch ups after the photos, so I will go back and fix.

Indian Summer
Here is a really different project for me. This is Stormtroopers Cherokee Indian bust. It is 1/10 scale, resin. I have never painted an Indian at all, so this is real fun for me. This is an Eastern Cherokee, before the Trail of Tears relocation.
